I am the founder of Cotton Lane, a Vancouver-based brand devoted to creating heirloom-quality pieces and digital files that support family rituals and the quieter rhythms of childhood.
I am a lifelong maker, with a background in sewing, embroidery, and textile work. Creating with my hands has always been how I make sense of the world. It allows me to work slowly and intentionally, transforming simple materials into objects that hold meaning, comfort, and memory.
Before building Cotton Lane, my professional life moved through several disciplines. I trained as an accountant and later taught at the University of British Columbia. Each chapter shaped how I approach my work today: with structure, care, and respect for craft.
Becoming a mother to two daughters, close in age, sharpened my awareness of how fleeting childhood truly is. The days are full and fast-moving, yet it is often the smallest moments, the familiar routines, the objects we return to, the traditions repeated year after year, that leave the deepest impression.
Cotton Lane was born from a desire to protect that sense of wonder and presence, and to create pieces that quietly support it. The brand is rooted in the belief that childhood magic is not loud or elaborate, but gentle and enduring. It lives in the everyday, in touch, repetition, and the comfort of the familiar.
Through thoughtful design and careful craftsmanship, I hope Cotton Lane becomes part of those memories for families, carried forward with intention.
